All leather products need maintenance and cleaning in order to keep their beautiful supple appearance. Mobile Device cases, are no different than any other leather case that needs consistent care. Leather is the best material for any mobile Device because it protects against heat, wind, cold and comes in a variety of colors, grades and textures. But leather will always need cleaning, and proper maintenance in order to keep it's optimum beauty and suppleness. Good quality leather cleaners and protective leather cleaning products, are important for leather care. A layer of leather protectant should be applied before first time use of any leather case. A high quality leather conditioner should be used at least every four months. This will keep leather moist and prevent it from cracking or tearing. Leather cases can and will dry out if left for long periods of time untreated. It's best to keep leather out of harsh weather such as snow and rain. If something spills on a leather case, the stain needs to be blotted up with a soft cloth. The soft cloth will prevent scratches. Each time leather cases are treated or cleaned, a professional leather cleaning cloth is best to use. Warm water and a soft cloth make good leather cleaners but to be on the safe side, always use professional leather cleaning products. Leather cases need to be stored in cool, dry areas. Any exposure to sunlight, over time will damage the case. All leather cases need proper ventilation so they can breathe. Keep leather mobile Device cases away from toiletry products like face creams, hair sprays, after-shave and perfumes to prevent spills. Refrain from using shoe creme, saddle soap, mink oil, and any products that aren't specifically designed for leather cleaning. Most people are satisfied with just having a beautiful leather product and may not pay much attention to maintaining it's look and feel. Leather is a skin that does need protection and consistent cleaning. When putting a leather Ipod case or any small case in a purse or pocket, be careful to keep it away from leaky pens or sharp objects like keys. Tears and punctures are not so easy to repair.
